Information we collect

We collect the information you provide, such as your name, phone number, event details, predictions, game activity, photos, and messages you send to support. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and a Google account identifier. We do not receive your Google password or request access to your Gmail messages or contacts.

Our service providers may process technical information such as your IP address, browser and device information, request times, and error logs. If you enable push notifications, we store the subscription information needed to deliver them.

How we use information

We use information to sign you in, maintain your account, run events and games, display results, deliver notifications, respond to requests, troubleshoot problems, and protect the service from misuse. We use Google account information to provide your account and sign-in functionality, not for advertising.

What others can see

Your display name, participation, predictions, scores, and uploaded content may be visible to event hosts and other participants, including on shared event screens. Hosts can view account contact information to manage their events. Public demo events can be viewed without signing in. Uploaded photos may also be accessible to anyone with their direct link.

We use service providers for hosting, database storage, sign-in, file storage, real-time updates, and message delivery. These include Vercel, Neon, Google, Ably, and, when SMS is enabled, Twilio. They process information needed to provide those services. We may also disclose information where required by law or necessary to protect users and the service.

Cookies and notifications

We use cookies to keep you signed in, secure the sign-in process, and remember preferences such as your demo view. You can clear or block cookies in your browser, although some features may stop working. You can disable push notifications in your browser or device settings.

Storage and retention

Information is stored with our service providers and may be processed outside your country. We retain account and event information to operate the service and maintain event history. Retention depends on the information and its purpose; some records may need to be retained for security, dispute resolution, or legal obligations. No online service can guarantee absolute security.

Your choices and requests

You can contact us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information or account. We may ask you to verify your identity before processing a request. Removing Google access in your Google account settings does not automatically delete information already stored by Birdbrains.
